 | Writing an attractive online dating profile Oct 30, 2007
Single female, GSOH now what? It can be difficult to describe yourself. The most important rule of online dating is to write an attractive personal statement. Whether you want to find you perfect partner or looking for friendship love-be.com is the perfect place to start. Finding you perfect partner doesn’t have to be difficult using the love-be profiling system. Just fill in the questionnaire. It only takes 5 minutes. This will help you gather your thoughts to create your personal statement. Your personal statement is where you can really shine. If you’re having difficulty, get one of your friends to describe you and use that. Your online statement is a chance to make a good impression and find the partner of your dreams. So how do you stand out from the crowd? - Show off your best qualities e.g. to get a bigger impact you would put in a small joke rather that say your ‘funny’.
- Highlight the key factors in your character such as things you are passionate about e.g. horses, cinema, comedy, food, poetry, literature, music, etc. you may like or loathe. Perhaps use descriptive words such as foodie rather that I love food.
- Decide what you are looking for and put the in your profile e.g. love, friendship, marriage. Say this in your profile. This will attract potential partners with the same interests and priorities.
- Check you profile thoroughly before you post it. At the very least put it through good spell checker. If you can get a friend to read it that would be great and help you to put your best foot forward.
- Check and change your profile as many times as you like. Come back to it a couple of days later, look at it critically and see if it could be improved.
- Upload a site photo. Make sure it’s a good one. If possible get a professional photographer to do it, and then you’ll know it’s up to scratch.
- Avoid any sexual innuendos in your profile this will put people off. There will be plenty of time for that if it’s appropriate when you meet.
Finally Have fun doing it. Good luck finding love
